Abstract

Abstract. Research on the analysis of lead weight metal content (Pb) and arsenic (AS) in goat milk using atomic absorption spectrometry (SSA) method has been conducted. This study aims to determine the levels of heavy metals lead and arsenic in goat milk with SSA method. The results of the analysis were compared with lead and arsenic levels with Indonesian National Standard (SNI) of fresh milk. Samples were obtained from goat farms in Limpok and were damaged wet by adding 65% HNO3 using a microwave preparation sample system at a pressure of 30 atm and a temperature of 200 ℃ for 66 minutes. Measurement of metal lead was measured at a wavelength of 283.3 nm, while the measurement of arsenic was measured at a wavelength of 193.7 nm by the Vapor Generator Hydride Accessories (VGHA) technique. The results showed that the sample of goat's milk was not detected the presence of lead metal content, while the arsenic level in the goat milk sample was 0.004291 ppm. Based on the threshold level of arsenic content of heavy metal arsenic in fresh milk which has been determined by SNI 01-3141-1998, the level of arsenic in goat milk samples is still within the safe limit for consumption because the arsenic level does not exceed the SNI specified threshold of 0.1 ppm.
