Abstract


ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui struktur histologis gonad ikan gabus (Channa striata) betina. Sampel yang diambil dalam penelitian ini adalah gonad  dari 5 ekor ikan gabus betina. Sampel kemudian dibuat menjadi preparat histologi dengan pewarnaan hematoksilin-eosin (HE) dan diteliti strukturnya menggunakan metode histologi eksplorasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara makroskopis dari 5 ekor ikan gabus betina yang digunakan terdapat 1 ekor ikan dengan ovarium pada fase mature (matang) dan 4 ekor ikan (ovariumnya berada pada fase spawning (mijah). Secara mikroskopis dari 5 ekor ikan gabus betina yang digunakan 1 ekor ikan berada pada fase maturing, 1 ekor ikan berada pada fase mature dan 3 ekor ikan ovariumnya berada pada fase postovulatory follicle. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah struktur ovarium ikan gabus terdiri atas stroma, vaskularisasi, dan folikel-folikel berkembang. Secara histologi ikan gabus memiliki 4 tahap perkembangan ovarium, immatur, maturing, matur, dan spent/recovering  dan 7 tahap perkembangan oosit, chromatin nucleolar, early perinucleolar, late perinucleolar, yolk vesicle,  early yolk granule,  late yolk granule, dan  spent ovary.

ABSTRACT

This study aimed to determine the histological structure of gonad of female snakehead (Channa striata). The samples used in this study were gonads of 5 female snakehead. The samples were then processed histologically and stained with haematoxylin-eosin (HE). The histology structure of gonad was examinated using explorative histological method. The result showed  that the gonad from 5 females snakehead in macroscopic view there is 1 fish which the ovaries are in mature phase and the ovaries 4 fish are in spawning phase. In view microscopic from 5 females snakehead, the ovaries from 1 snakehead in maturing phase, 1 fish in the mature phases  and  3 fish in postovulatory follicle phase. The conclusion from this study are the structure of snakehead ovaries consist of  stroma, vascularization, and developed follicles. Histologically snakehead has 4 stages of ovarian development, immatur, maturing, mature and spent / recovering and 7 stages of oocyte development, chromatin nucleolar, early perinucleolar, late perinucleolar, yolk vesicle, early yolk granule, late yolk granule, and spent ovary.
